Dr. Chin Nyat Kooi is a Respiratory Consultant at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and a Visiting Consultant (Department of Medicine) at National University Hospital. She was previously a Consultant (Respiratory Division) at the National University Hospital.
She received her MBBS (1985) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) (1990) from the National University of Singapore. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, since 1994.
Dr. Chin was previously the committee member of Singapore Thoracic Society and also served in the committee of MOH Haze Advisory Committee (1997).
She is especially interested in the clinical management of patients with chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD), bronchial asthma, community-acquired pneumonia and pleural diseases, as well as looking after patients requiring intensive care. She has vast experience in the management of tuberculosis and post-TB bronchiectasis. She performs diagnostic bronchoscopy for suspected lung malignancies and infections.
